AGM Q&A, Executive Introductions, and Calls for Participation

Dear SGFP Members,

At our AGM this spring, we didn’t have time to answer as many of your questions as we would have liked to. We committed to providing answers.  Please review our 2024 AGM Q&A. And if you wish to watch the meeting, you can find a recording here.

I’d like to introduce you to the members of the SGFP executive (pictured below). Each of them brings a wealth of experience, passion, and commitment to advocating for family doctors:

  • Dr. Adam Stewart – previously served on SGFP and as Peer Leader for OntarioMD and Lead Physician of the Central Hastings Family Health Team.
  • Dr. Beth Perrier – SGFP Interim Vice Chair, and SGFP Policy and Advocacy Team Lead. As well as District 6 Chair of OMA and President of HPE Medical Society.
  • Dr. Cathy Mastrogiacomo –Past SGFP Chair. Other roles include Board Member of the Scarborough Academic Family Health Team, and a member of the Bilateral Acuity Modifier Working Group.
  • Dr. Darija Vujosevic – SGFP Treasurer, also serving as Primary Care Clinical Lead for Niagara OHT-ESON, Physician Lead for Garden City Family Health Organization.

In upcoming Chair’s Letter editions, we will feature each member individually, spotlighting their passions, contributions, and aspirations during their time with SGFP. In the meantime, I want to thank you for your ongoing dedication and support as we continue our cause, uplifting and unifying the voices of family doctors to create real change in family medicine.

To close, I’d like to remind members about the Expression of Interest for the opportunities to get involved with the SGFP. If you would like to learn more, please review the opportunities on the OMA website determine which one would best suit you.

Warm regards,

Dr. David Barber
