Tariff Progress + What’s Next

Dear SGFP Members,

Tariff work remains at the heart of SGFP’s advocacy-detailed, ongoing, and essential to strengthening family medicine. Right now, our SGFP Tariff Team is reviewing the near-final draft of the Physician Payment Committee (PPC) report to ensure accuracy and identify any errors or omissions before it’s finalized.

In November, the PPC will submit its recommendations to the Physician Services Committee and the OMA Board of Directors. If approved, these changes will take effect on April 1, 2026. Intake for the next round of proposals, drawing on funding from Years 2–4 of the current agreement, will open shortly thereafter.

We’ll provide an update as final details are available. And we’ll reach out through another member survey, as we did for the past proposals, to hear where you’d like us to focus for the next round.

To support your practice, we’re building a series of billing webinars starting in January 2026. These sessions will focus on practical strategies to optimize your billings, ensuring you’re making the most of the codes available and navigating changes with confidence. Dates and topics will be shared in the coming weeks.

Warm Regards,

Dr. Dave Barber

Chair, SGFP
