Help Shape a Digital Service That Increases Value for your Clinic’s Digital Overhead

Dear SGFP members,

Today, I’m pleased to share this message in collaboration with Dr. Chandi Chandrasena, Chief Medical Officer at OntarioMD. Together, we invite you to participate in a province-wide survey led by OMD to better understand the digital needs of family physician and community-based specialty clinics across Ontario. SGFP strongly supports this work and encourages your input.

Take the Survey by August 15.

The survey is directed toward physicians, clinic administrators, and team members who manage digital tools or oversee vendor relationships. Your input will inform the development of a Managed Digital Service (MDS), designed to:

  • Reduce costs or increase the value of digital tools
  • Alleviate administrative burden from clinic teams
  • Create a secure, streamlined, and reliable digital environment

Your insights will help us build a service that reflects the realities of clinical practice today and that strengthens the digital foundation of care across Ontario. Responses will remain confidential and used strictly for internal planning.

Please complete the survey by August 15: Take the Survey

A Managed Digital Service allows a trusted partner like OntarioMD to oversee tools such as EMRs, secure messaging, scheduling software, and clinical supports - ensuring security, reliability, and alignment with professional standards. This model also leverages group buying so physicians retain control and value in their digital health decisions.

If you have any questions or feedback, please contact support@ontariomd.com

Thank you for helping lead this important work and for continuing to shape the future of digital health in Ontario.

Warm regards,

Dr. Dave Barber, Chair, SGFPDr.

Chandi Chandrasena, Chief Medical Officer, OntarioMD
